You’re Invited – Card Making at the Mount Pleasant library – April 19th

We have the conference room reserved at the Mount Pleasant Library for some card making on Friday, April 19th from 12:30pm-1:30pm. (When you enter the first door, you will turn right for the community room.)

If you do plan to attend, please send an email to hello@bekindcharleston.org – especially if you’re a newcomer – so we know to watch for you. This is a friendly group of people and newcomers are welcome. If you’re an introvert like me, I promise it won’t be scary.

This event is open to everyone over 18 with art skills of a five year old. I am serious about that – this is not something for “artists”, it’s for people who want to do something kind for others.

You will need to bring some basic supplies, including a pencil, eraser, pen, scissors (if you plan to collage) and blank note cards – along with anything else you make like to use for creating. Please also read about the organizations we currently support.

If you haven’t drawn before, no problem. You may want to print out some of these tutorials to bring with you. You are welcome to use my colored pencils if you don’t have any.

If the idea of drawing doesn’t appeal to you and you’d rather do some collage, I will have some collage paper and glue sticks.

Please also send any questions to hello@bekindcharleston.org. (If the event is cancelled for any reason, this post will be updated that morning.)

Hope to see you there… if you’re nice, over 18, etc… You get the point. 🙂
